Come join us for Summer Riding Camp 2009
at Rocky River Stables in Midland, NC

There are 9 camp weeks available this summer.
June 15 – 19, June 22 – 26, June 29 – July 3, July 13 – 17,
July 20 - 24, July 27 - 31,  August 3 – 7 & August 10 – 14

Monday thru Friday from 8 am to 3 pm.
(Earlier drop off & later pick up available for additional fee.)

The cost is $250.00. Bring a friend & you both get a $50.00 discount. Imagine a whole week of fun with horses for only $200.00. Tell all your horse loving family, friends & neighbors.

Campers will learn about & participate in the following activities:
Basic horsemanship including horse behavior, how they think & how to be safe around them
Riding, grooming, tacking, stall & trail maintenance, Horse painting (using non-toxic, washable paint)
Exciting nature hikes & trail rides, Fun crafts & games

Parents are free to come & go as they please all week. Any help is always appreciated.

Also offering advanced rider camp for $150.00 July 7 – 10
Riders must be able to completely care for, groom & saddle their horse.
Riders may bring their own horse to camp for an additional $10.00/day boarding fee.
If bringing your own horse you must provide negative coggins, feed & hay.
Camp will include offsite trail rides.

We require a $100.00 deposit per camper
along with the liability release & medical form to reserve your place by the registration deadline.
Camp registration deadline & deposits due by June 5, 2009.
You may be able to register up to one week prior to camp start date; however, there will be a 20% late registration fee included. Late registration is subject to availability. $50.00 Discount will still be honored for bringing a friend.

The balance is due the first morning of camp.

 Campers should bring: Packed lunch, may include extra snacks & drinks if they like. We will always have plenty to drink on hand as well. We ask parents to bring one bag of ice & one snack to share for the week. Please also bring a back pack with extra clothes, jeans, shorts, t-shirts, (modest clothing required, no strappy tanks or short-shorts will be allowed) swim trunks for boys, one piece swimsuit or tankini for girls, (we will get wet), beach towel, sunscreen, bug spray, chapstick, hat with visor, riding boots, waterproof boots & tennis shoes. It is a good idea to send old clothes that you don’t mind getting very dirty or stained. We must also be fully informed of any medications/allergies.

A riding helmet is required. We have a limited supply available for purchase for $30.00.
You may also purchase one at Tractor Supply for a reasonable price.
